County Convention Results

On April 12 we held an incredibly successful County Convention. 100 of 103 eligible County Delegates voted for our 2008 County Council candidates. AND THE WINNERS ARE:

Seat A - Sally Elliot; Seat B - Claudia McMullin; Seat C - John Hanrahan; Seat D - Chris Robinson; Seat E - Steve Weinstein.

NOW, our task is to elect all of these candidates and EVERY Democrat on the ticket on November 4. Keep watching this page for details. In May we will hold Precinct Leader training sessions at 6 locations in the County.

State Convention - May 9 - 10, Salt Palace, Salt Lake City. STATE DELEGATES - Please attend the opening session on Friday evening, check in 3 PM, start of convention 5 PM. Vote for our Summit County candidates for National Delegate from Congressional District 1 ( Glenn Wright, Tania Knauer, Nicole Norton, and Joanna Charnes). Attend the JJ Dinner (starts 7:30 PM). County Caucuses - March 25, 7 PM,

Summit County Democrats congregated en mass at three locations. A total of over 400 Democrats caucused to select delegates to county and state conventions and to select precinct officers.

Campaign 2008 Kick Off at The Spotted Frog Bookstore, (map) On Saturday, Nov. 3, from noon to 3 p.m., house parties throughout Utah included a DVD unveiling our precinct organizing strategy for the coming year and an invitation for local Democrats to get involved and reach out to local voters beginning immediately
